OUR LEADERSHIP
John is the lead pastor of Midwood Baptist Church. John was born and raised in Alabama (Roll Tide) and moved to North Carolina to study at Southeastern Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, where he graduated in 2016. After graduation, John served over 5 years as the Associate Pastor at The Church at Perry Creek in Raleigh, NC. In July of 2023, John become the lead pastor of Midwood.
John is married to his incredible wife Sarah, and they have three children: John Duke (8), Sadie (7), and Harrison (4). In his free time, John enjoys all things sports, playing golf, and spending time with his family.

ANNA GRACE BALDWIN
MIDWOOD KiDS & Preschool Director
Anna Grace is a 2009 graduate of the UNC at Charlotte with her degrees in Public Health and Health Communications. Anna Grace serves as Midwood’s Children’s and Preschool Director. She has been instrumental in the development of all of our programs in that area and has taught groups of children all over the world.
Sarah Maiden
Church Secretary
Sarah is the church secretary at Midwood Baptist Church and also serves as an assistant teacher in the church preschool ministry. She is married to Pastor John and loves serving alongside him and having him as her permanent carpool buddy!
Sarah loves being part of the Midwood family and watching her kids feel so loved and completely at home at Midwood. When she’s not at Midwood, you can find her cheering on her kids at their activities, playing basketball in the backyard with her boys, or trying just about anything to get out of cooking dinner.
Margot is the Communications Coordinator at Midwood Baptist Church. Born in Atlanta, GA, Margot has spent the majority of her life in the Charlotte area. Margot and her husband, Matt, were married at Midwood in April of 2023, where they both serve in many capacities.
In her free time, Margot enjoys spending time with her family and friends, golfing, and being involved in the Midwood community. Margot and Matt are currently in the process of adopting and are excited to grow their family.
